Ive been procrastinating when it comes to updating my blog.. as the title suggest.. Im going to write about my trip to Sheffield but surprise surprise.. that was like 3 weeks ago.. haha.. Ive been soooo busy with projects (since Im doing actuarial science.. my projects are maths based and can u imagine doing a 3 page report about a mathematical theory.. haha).. other than that.. loooaddsss of assignments due.. tests.. well.. it is approaching the end of spring term and seriously.. i cant wait for april to come.. EASTER HOLIDAY!!! the whole month!.. but no playing around either.. coz after that.. exams!!.. well.. besides the above.. i was also caught up with Uni of Kent’s International Showcase where our society had to perform.. but i will elaborate more bout international showcase in my next blog post..
*THURSDAY*
Ok.. so I went off to Shefield on thurs, 1st march.. had class in the morning.. so i booked the afternoon coach to london.. which was like a 2 hr journey.. and from there.. took another coach (4 hrs) to sheffield.. yup yup.. i spent 6 hrs sitting in a bus..reached sheffield coach station around 7.30pm.. n straight away saw nadya.. haha.. it was sooo funny.. she was so excited that she literally waited for me in front of the bus’s door.. lol.. then we straight away went to an indian restaurant.. coz i was so hungry from the long bus ride.. nadya’s friend daniel joined us for dinner.. she was nice and we had a good meal (papadum.. naan.. nasi briyani.. ayam tandoori) since it has been awhile since i ate meat.. haha.. sedih kan.. tp badan tak turun pun!.. we were sharing but we didnt even finish it.. so.. ta pau.. *FRIDAY*
The next day.. nadya had to wake up early coz she had to go to class.. i brought my assignment as well.. coz i planned to do it that day.. but u’ve guessed it.. i didnt get any work done.. haha.. but at night.. nadya’s friends.. jihan and her housmates brought e out for dinner at this pakistani restaurant.. cant remember its name.. but it was a buffet meal.. 9 pounds.. and all u can eat!!.. haha.. what a bargain.. i had a blast that night.. nadya n i.. we ate like crrraaaaaaazzzzzzyyyyyyyyy mind u.. they had all kinds of rice.. white rice.. brown rice.. briyani.. fried rice.. then.. a whole row of appetizers.. a whole row of chinese food.. a whole row of indian food.. a whole row of Mediterranean food.. and the list goes on.. and to end the meal.. there was this dessert bar.. and we had ice cream obviously.. kinda reminded us of those fun times we had at swensens.. haha.. that night was fun..and funny too.. right nadya.. ?.. yg kita lambai2 dgn that cute doorman dekat restaurant tue.. lol.. malu giler.. sampai jihan nyer car terlanggar skittle.. haha.. after that.. went over to jihan’s place.. had lovely chats with her other housemates.. lepak in jihan’s room (where i discovered that she’s a lot like me.. and i wont elaborate on the similarities.. that’s between me.. nadya.. and jihan.. haha).. then.. off to nadya’s place.. had our nightly gossip session.. n tdur..
*SATURDAY*
This was THE day.. Keane’s concert!!.. the morning started off with a tour of nadya’s uni.. uni of sheffield.. her uni’s a lot different from mine.. different schools or departments were scattered around the city.. but my uni.. uni of kent.. is a campus uni.. where everything is in one place.. well.. here r some random pics of her uni n sheffield..

Kent.. i was soooo happy coz i managed to buy all the things that i said i wanted to buy.. and got most of them at a bargain.. among the stuff i bought were.. a gold bubble hoodie jacket, a 
skinny jeans & a Pair of very comfy fur boots (which looks like the famous ‘uggs’ boots but cheaper.. well 40 pounds is not cheap for a pair of boots.. but ‘cheaper’ than uggs.. haha).. all of them from ‘new look’.. actually.. we hv ‘new look’ here in kent too.. but.. shopping with nadya is alwiz fun.. then.. bought a ‘Jane Norman’ bag (kat sini semua org ada ‘Jane Norman’ bag.. i used to think to myself when i saw girls in uni using that bag.. "corny nyer dia org nie".. but then.. i actually secretly wanted one.. then when i went to nadya’s room n 
discovered that she bought one.. i didnt hesitate any longer.. i bought one myself.. haha!!).. aper lagi.. oh ya.. bought a pair of 
Dorothy Perkins ‘Gabus’ flip flops.. coz my Miss Selfridge ones.. which i adored.. sudah uzur.. coz i alwayz wear it.. then a gold hairband from H&M.. talcum powder from Mark & Spencer.. and some Millie’s Cookies.. nyum nyum..

Then the night came.. we freshen up.. put on some make up and took the tramp to go the Sheffield Hallam FM arena.. we were soo freaked out coz we thought we were late.. thank god we saw a group of guys with the same tickets on that tramp and we knew that we werent the only ones..below r pics of us at the tramp station.. and yeah.. it was soo cold.. 
We reached there juz in time.. and discovered that a lot of people were going in at the same time.. so we werent late.. haha.. going into the arena was pleasant.. no pushing around.. no guards checking your bags.. everything was really pleasant.. the concert was FANTABULOUS!!!!! need i say more??.. i finally got to see Keane Live!!.. my friends know this.. b4 i came to the UK.. i promised myself that i would go and watch Keane in concert coz i know that the chances of them coming to msia r pretty slim n i watched their concert performance on Channel V once and it got me hooked on them ever since!.. so it was really a surreal experience.. coz i love them soooo much.. i love all of their songs!! they’re juz.. well.. I bought some souvenirs after the show.. a hard-covered programme book (10 pounds).. its like collages pictures of the band and hand-written lyrics from the 1st and the 2nd album and a concert t-shirt(20 pounds): 
I was telling nadya this.. that day was sooo perfect.. the shopping spree.. the concert.. everythin went great!! i discovered that going to a rock concert in the UK is sooo much more 
pleasant than going to any concert in malaysia.. back home.. u hv to go through the dreadful long qs where there’ll b pushing.. shouting.. littering.. smelly armpits everywhere.. but here.. people r much more civilised.. although most of them were drinking.. they took their time to line up for refreshments.. etc.. will definitely attend more concerts in the future 
*SUNDAY*
Woke up early that day to pack up stuff.. wanted to do some last minute shopping.. went to a couple of stores including this one place where they sell last season’s designers stuff.. bought myself a pair of FCUK snickers for 20 pounds.. original price was 60 pounds.. bargain right??.. then we had lunch at Subway.. then we went to Primark.. bought loadddss of knickers there for 1 pound each.. bought 2 track bottoms for gym n tennis.. 1 cost me 1pnd and the other 3 pnds.. a pajamas..and bought a white spaghetti strap too.. murah nak mampus kan.. haha..
Then we rushed off to the coach station hoping that we didnt miss 
the bus.. thank god we didnt.. we said our goodbyes.. a quick one.. coz we were late.. and off i go.. 4 hrs to london and another 2 hrs to canterbury.. i left sheffield at 4pm and reached uni around 10pm.. the good thing is that the coach can drop us off straight at uni.. so that was pretty convenient..
I was really looking forward to this weekend for months.. the weekend where i get to see nadya n finally get to see Keane Live.. after it all ended.. i was kinda sad since all the excitement was gone and it was back to studying and assignments..
I really have to thank nadya for everything.. it was really awesome to see her again.. made me miss home even more.. made me miss the girls even more.. seriously.. we r really fortunate.. n we realised that we really love our lives back home.. i guess u hv to experience one thing to appreciate the other.. Thanx again nadya for a WONDERFUL weekend and i really cant wait to see u again soon.. next time.. it will be u coming down to Kent.. haha.. love u babes.. !

I was too busy this past week to update my blog.. and i must say.. a lot of things happened in just one week.. well.. it snowed a lot last week!! it was soooo much fun.. Reza called me up at around 6am and told me to come outside to play… i looked out the window and saw my corridor mates playing outside.. i was soo happy coz i didnt expect it to snow that day.. the view from my room was sooo beautiful.. its not like i ‘jakun’ tengok snow.. coz i went skiing in korea b4.. but seing the weather changes from autumn to winter and the snow falling.. it juz felt so surreal.. went bfast with wyn while taking pics on the way to rutherford.. hehe.. and then had to go to class (9am).. after class.. vim, zul, ai boon n i played snow in front of Marlowe building.. right in the middle of campus.. i didnt care.. hehe.. everyone was playing.. it was sooo much fun.. we even made our own snowman.. we called him ‘Snactuary’ the snowman coz 4 actuarial science students made him.. hehe.. corny huh?.. well.. u guys can see the video on my friendster webpage.. but here are a couple of pics..

everyone.. from the cleaning lady at rutherford and the guy from the cafeteria was happy and friendly that day.. ’snow spirit’ was everywhere!! i luurrvve it! hehe..
Anyways.. back to the title.. last Saturday (10th feb)the Msian & Bruneian Society plaaned a paintball trip at Faversham.. that was sooooo much fun!!! tough.. but fun!! we were practically in a jungle!!! mud everywhere.. coz it was drizzling.. and it was soooo cold too!! seriously.. we cant even see anything when we wore the mask becoz of the mist.. we played with a bunch of other locals there.. we were divided into 2 groups.. black vs red.. i was in the black team.. and we won by 500 to 165 i think.. well.. i remembered i shot a few.. and i myself got shot 3 times!! one jus above my.. urrmm. . well.. i shall not say… and 2 right at the butt.. haha.. it was damn painful but totally worth it.. here are some pics..

then.. on the way back to the bus stop.. suddenly this man came out of a bar and said "hi.. dari mana??".. and all of us was shocked.. he spoke malay!! hehe.. and he asked us where we were from.. i said msia n brunei.. he was from indonesia.. and he owns the bar.. and he invited us in fro a free tea.. hehe.. the bar was sooo impressive.. with plasma tv above the fire place.. and the place was very cozy indeed.. he was very friendly.. a very wonderful experience all together i must say.. owh.. by the time we got back.. we were all covered in mud.. i spent the rest of the day scrubbing my jeans and snickers.. haha..

One week later.. which is yesterday.. i went to the tennis club social play at parkwood.. alone.. hehe.. made new friends.. olivia & deniz.. they’re soo nice.. we played strokes together.. alex told us that we should play among ourselves first and later in the evening Danial (or Duffey) will coach us.. he taught us the right way to serve.. and right now.. god knows how my right arm is hurting.. but tennis was soo much fun yesterday.. Deniz, Olivia n I planned to play more everyweek and we’ll be going to gym together too for the aerobic and BLT (Bums Legs & Tums) classes..
After tennis.. Olivia n Deniz asked me whether I want to join them for dinner.. they’re having pizza.. but i told them i had other dinner plan.. which is nasi lemak at the kakaks’ place.. bazil was cooking 
.. we had loads of guests.. bazil’s friends from warwick (yani & her bf).. and norein n her bf came as well.. as usual.. dinner at kak maz, kak, yumn & kak yan’s place is always fun and loud.. haha.. they always make me feel at home.. we’re like a small family here in canterbury..

IT’S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!! A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!
Im late for class 
10.30pm: Juz came back from Zapin practice at Grimond.. Had Msian Bruneian Soc Committee meeting b4 that.. we were deciding on the colour of our official polo shirt.. we came down to black, blue, & red.. personally i like the black one.. but we’ll take votes this thursday during the society meeting.
After that, like i said.. we had zapin practice.. UKC’s International Week is coming soon.. and the International Showcase will be on the 10th March.. the society is going to perform a medley.. it’s going to start with a syair with translation.. followed by ‘Aduk-Aduk’ (a Bruneian traditional dance) which is being choreographed by Kash.. and finally comes the Zapin (Msian traditional dance).. choreographed by yours truly..
Today was our 1st practice.. zapin was a new thing for all of the girls.. but i must say.. they do learn very fast.. coz the interest is there.. i juz hope that they do practice the steps that i taught them.. coz we dont really have that much time.. the audition’s on the 19th feb.. Well girls.. U did very well today.. Im impressed.. Juz remember… as cliche as it sounds.. ‘practice makes perfect!’.. hehe
Anyway.. Im very tired.. havent eaten since afternoon.. have two assignments on hand.. one’s due Friday & the other on Monday.. gosh! need to finish them asap.. coz i’l be busy the whole week.. like this saturday for example.. i have paintball the whole day.. which i paid for.. and tomorrow.. there will be a ‘future housemates’ meeting at Shereen’s at around 2pm.. Next academic yr, I’ll be staying at Shereen’s current place with Shereen herself, Reza & Atiq.. so we need to meet up to talk about the contract & the payments etc.. b4 that I’ll be meeting Serge for coffee at Dolche Vita.. Loadz of things to do right?.. <sigh>

It’s sunday afternoon.. juz came back from brunch with the girls at rutherford..
Yesterday was fun.. went for bfast at 10am and met up with ct to go to Parkwood for the tennis club social play.. Met the tennis committee members.. Alex the president & Ollie the secretary whom Ive been emailing with.. they’re sooo nice.. we played like crap yesterday.. haha.. but not to worry.. Alex will coach us next week at 1pm and the week after that.. there’ll be a certified coach who’s gonna train us.. well Alex told me that he trained Ollie.. and he’s good.. so i guess Alex is a good coach after all .. cant wait till next week! OOOO.. Im so going to get the tennis club hoodie.. !! Ollie explained to me about the "kit" that’s available for all the members to buy.. which contains a hoodie, a polo shirt, wind breaker, track bottom & skorts (skirts with shorts inside).. all for 80 pounds! mahalnyer.. i told him that i only want the hoodie.. which is 35 pounds & the poloshirt which is aroyund 20 pounds i think.. but ollie said that its actually cheaper if u buy the whole kit together than buying seperately.. but then again.. i wouldnt wear the track suit & the skorts.. so i’ll stick with the hoodie & the polo shirt..
I have to watch my budget this month.. kinda overspent this month’s allowance by buying the Sony ‘touchscreen’ DSC-N2 10 megapixel digicam from amazon.. 
cost me 250 pounds.. but its all worth it.. the functions are excellent.. touchscreen.. slide show with music.. ‘paint’ feature.. high sensitivity.. love it!!
Before this i bought something from amazon too.. it was last term actually.. i bought a gadget as well.. the Logitech MM50 Ipod Speaker!!!..

of the top 50 items that was sold on amazon.. when i bought it it was 61.90 pounds.. but now the price increased to 67.90 pounds.. nasib baik beli awal.. hehe.. It’s so good that even my friend Chris bought one too! Oh ya.. the other day,, when i was watchin MTV cribs.. they went to this Disney celebrity’s house.. and in one of the rooms.. the girl actually has the exact same ipod speaker! how cool is that! i love this speaker!!
well.. anyways.. it’s all about ‘opportunity cost’ isnt it.. if u want one thing.. u’ll have to sacrifice the other.. Hopefully papa will transfer my march allowance earlier this month.. so that i wont feel so insecure.. which i always do.. hehe..

Anyhoo.. after tennis.. went to one of the seminar rooms in my college (Keyne’s) to watch the ‘Dikir Barat’ & ‘Aduk Aduk’ practice.. the Msian & Bruneian society are planning to do a medley for the uni’s international nite.. im in charge of ‘zapin’.. will hv to start practising soon as well.. gosh do i hv loads of things to do.. hmm.. After that.. went over to Shereen’s place again for dinner.. Leonard made chicken curry!!! nyum nyum!! it was Fantabulous!! by the time we finished chit chattin.. it was quite late.. so i spent the night there.. again.. haha.. as usual my place was at the living room.. hehe..
So this morning.. went back to uni.. and met the girls for brunch at rutherford.. and this brings this blog back to the start (refer to the beginning of this blog).. haha.. cool.. its like a loodp.. hehe.. wutever.. im bored.. hence the blabering..
I guess today.. (or whatever that’s left of today).. i’ll clean up my room… reorganize my notes.. wrap ’someone’s’ secret santa pressie (yup.. we supposed to hv a mini secret santa after the winter holiday.. but due to assignments and test.. we kinda postponed it).. hehe.. tonight at 7.30.. i’ll go over to wyn’s room and we’ll hv the mini secret santa..

It’s 11.43pm now.. It has been a very long long day.. woke up at 7am as usual to go for bfast at rutherford college.. class started at 8am till 11am.. had a gap after that.. and next class was at 3pm till 5pm.. Something sweet happened during the evening class.. but i wont elaborate on that.. straight after class.. met up with wyn & ct in front of the gym.. and we went to the BLT (Bums, Legs & Tums) class, 5.15pm session.. Great 45 min workout.. I can really feel it now.. afterwards.. went back to take a shower b4 meeting up with the girls again for dinner at Woody’s Bar in Parkwood.. Got a desperate phone call from Shereen.. well.. dont worry dearie.. we’ll talk it out tomorrow during dinner ya.. Had a very nice..long..hot shower after that intensed workout.. met up with wyn, ct, moka & grace at the reception.. and we decided to go to Origin’s at Darwin College instead coz someone said that since it was quite late.. Woody’s stopped serving food already.. Well.. it was cold.. and we were all in pain from the BLT class.. so we opted for the "nearer" Origin’s instead.. had a very good & full meal.. & there goes my workout.. haha.. no worries.. going for the Tennis Club social play tomorrow from 12pm till 4pm.. so I’ll make up for it tomorrow.. hehe.. owh.. CT’s coming with me tomorrow.. Thanx CT!!.. and on sunday im planning to go swimming with Fliss again.. but it all depends on her arm.. hopefully its all better.. anyway.. tomorrow’s going to be a full day as well.. damn. im soo tired now.. ive been tired this whole week.. there’re so many things on my mind that i cant be bothered to list all of them down here coz it will juz make me more depressed.. so lets just live it like that.. i really have to reorganize my life right now.. coz i cant move forward if im like this.. oh ya.. i juz feel the need to say this.. juz bcoz i look like im the ‘happy-go-lucky’ type.. it doesnt mean that i dont get offended.. well that was random wasnt it.. haha..

Ok.. in one of the conversations i had with nadya in this past month, i asked her.. "nadya.. sejak biler u berblog nie??".. and then she told me that cha cha has started blogging now.. haha.. pelik nyer.. now that all of us are sooo far from each other.. we have nothing to do but to blog.. haha.. actually.. like nadya said.. its an easy way to let our dearest friends know what we hv been up to.. well.. its easier and cheaper than calling each of them up and repeating the same story over and over again..
From the title i guess u guys guessed it that it has been a year since i last blogged.. well.. loaddddddddzz of things happened in year.. I graduated with a Diploma in Actuarial Science from UiTM Shah Alam with a CGPA of 3.73and was the recipient of the Vice Chancellor Award .. Now Im in the UK.. gained entry straight into 2nd year.. BSc in Actuarial Science (Hons).. University of Kent.. Im being sponsored by the government (JPA) but only for tuition fees tho.. the others.. FAMA.. (Father & Mother Loan).. hehe..
I love it here in Canterbury.. juz what i wanted… a small historical town not to far from the city.. (about 1 hr from London & Paris).. Got offers from other unis in London as well but i purposely chose kent.. away from the hustle & bustle of city life.. Not many msians here though.. unlike the northern part of england.. ie.. nottingham, manchester, sheffield, liverpool.. where banyak jugak msians students.. actually.. i think there are a lot of europeans here.. coz UKC is the the UK uni that’s nearest to europe..
Anyway.. why am i promoting canterbury pula nie??.. haha.. maybe coz i was distracted by shereen who juz dropped by in my dorm room b4 her next class which is happened to be at keynes oso..
Talking bout class.. i have one in 40 min.. so.. i’ll blab more later..

I know this is cliche but seriously… I feel like blowing my head off.. I know that people said that their last sem was pretty hectic… but believe me, u have no idea.. besides that im currently working as part time math tutor at kumon 2 days a week (tue & fri) 3.30pm-10.30pm.. like other uni students.. i have assignments, projects (the applied stats project is giving me major migrain), quizzes and tests all squeezed in this last 2 weeks of the semester.. plus.. i have to prepare & mail out my CV for my practical training next sem which i just did a while ago.. but when i wanted to print it… this damn printer started to give problems and when i asked my sis to help me out with the printer.. she juz ignored me and went back to sleep (its 4pm mind u).. anyway.. am also packed with the things i need to do with my application to further study in the UK.. the online UCAS procedure is not as clear as it should be.. they didnt state when r we suppose to fax in our results and so forth.. plus…i have my MUET next week which i havent prepare for.. and to make matters worst.. in my history of undergoing this actuarial sc course.. ive never been in the situation where i dont really understand wut the lecturer told me.. well that has change with actuarial math.. i hope this subject wont cause me my last and final dean’s list award which i need so damn badly so i could get that VC award during convo.. if not.. i’ll punch myself in the face.. am totally stressed out.. the only time i can get all of these things out of my head is when im with my beloved amir and when im with my girlfriends… the other day when nana, nadya & istie came over to lepak.. i had sooo much fun and i could actually throw all of the problems away.. at least for awhile.. it does help.. miss hanging out with them.. even tho we havent seen each other that much lately.. it still feels like old times.. miss u guyz truly… waaaaaaa.. god help me!!!
